All Banshee owners could you please tell how much regular maintenance cost you on your Banshee? How often do you have rebuild it? I am thinking of getting rid of my Warrior and getting a Banshee but if I have to spend lots of money on maintenance then I dont think I want it. Cause with my Warrior all I have to do is buy 3 quarts of oil

 

Just buy the maintnance warranty and the will take care of everything for 3 years.

 

you really have very little, all that i have had done to it was have the carbs cleaned out and rejetted, and you have to mix your gas. the more mods you put into anything you might have a little bit more maintenance. the only thing is that i just sold my warrior and bought a banshee and did not regret it at all. good luck

 

I have a 99 banshee that i bought in feb of 99 and rode mine hard about six times a month in between feb and nov till snow hit. I haven't had to do any maintenance except clean air filter and change oil every 20 hours. I would definately recommend one to a friend. Just set it up by getting a-arms and a wider axle and it will help a lot. The handling on a stock banshee is a little poor. the a-arms and axle help out so much. It might just save you from wreckin

 

you dont have that much to do to them, clean the air filter,change the oil,(easyer than the warrior) change your plugs(every 6 to 9 months)or when they foul. keep it clean.I have a 92 and a 87 banshee and they are both never been taken apart and they run great and strong. they both have coolhead(92) and trinity stage4 head(87)and fmf fattys, bored carbs,and more. and i run them hard. but i clean the K&N filters after every day of riding. change the oil with gear saver oil.they dont stop. i think every time i go out they will blow up. but they run great.if you can handle a banshee get one, you will love it!

What maintenance? Change the oil, adjust the chain occasionally, grease the zerks, clean the air filter.

All the same stuff you're used to doing.

Well...OK then.... Now I guess it's up to you to decide if you want to take my advice or not.
I have a 96 Banshee...It is not stock...so that may make the difference. But anyway.......

I do race my Banshee, so My costs might be a bit higher than others. I go through a full set of tires every year(at least $300), mixing oil (at least 7.95 quart), Rear/counter sprocket (twice a year minumum), filter lube, zerk lube, gas, chain (once a year), rings once a summer, pistons(once),
oil change after every race.
The list goes on and on of little things I check after every ride. (chain, bolts, fluids, etc.)

I am not saying that the banshee is hard to work on...Maybe I'm just a yahoo that does not know what I am talking about.....Or.....maybe I really ride my banshee...I don't know. But one thing is for sure....I have a 400ex that does not need anywhere near the attention that the Banshee does.
But I don't race the 400 either. All ATV's require the normal fluid checks, chain adjustment, brake check...etc. But the banshee seems to need some of these parts changed or replaced alot sooner than my other machines.
