I just put a White brothers E-series pipe on my Wolverine and was wondering if anyone has had a problem with exhaust heat on the side of the storage box with an external disc system. Has anyone had the side of the storage box melt from the exhaust heat. Should I try to shield or deflect the heat or is there nothing to worry about.

I run a Supertrapp OSD silencer on my Warrior & even tho I run 20 discs I find that heat is dissipated just a short distance from the silencer. If you are still concerned, you might try affixing some alumunum foil to the side of the storage box, shiny side out. After a fairly good run stop & check the temp with you hand. On the Warrior there is no such storage box so no problem.
I wouldn't try to shield the silencer. That would merely obstruct the flow & create back pressure, cancelling out the benefit of the silencer.
