Help on tire selection for wolverine
#1
Well I'm still considering taking off my 25" Dirt Devils & go back to stock size on Titan's 489 tires. My quad came with the Dirt D's on so I really cant compare them to anything else. But do yall think it will be worth the money & hassle? I'm wanting a quicker Wolverine with alittle less weight & agility for the trails & a few jumps. I only ride through deep mud occasionaly so that really want be a factor. So does it sound like I'd be happier with the 23" & is it worth the money & hassle?
One more question, I plan on calling Works Performance this week & talk to them about a pair of triple rates for the wolverine. How much will they be asking? Does $350 sound about right?
Thanks,WILL

I really don't think that the difference in the tires is going to be that noticable. The Devils are not that heavy. The shorter tires should help alittle though. In my lard butt opinion, I don't think it would be worth it. (switching tires that is) The price sounds about right, for one shock. I called about shocks for my kids Badger, and they were about 350 each! Just alittle pricy in my opinion.

I put Titan 489 XT's on my Wolverine and could not be happier. They ride a little rougher than stock but no more flats. Traction is great and no real loss of power. Mine are the stock size (23inch). I really like them and if I buy any other machines I will be putting on Titan 489 XT's.
My stock tires road pretty nice but 4 flats in 3 weekends was enogh for me. No more Dunflats!!!! From now on til I have problems I will be a loyal Titan tire buyer from now on.
They didn't weigh mcuh more than stock if any. I weighed them and they were really close in weight. The 489's will treat you well.
The Works shocks are very pricey but from what I hear they are top notch shocks and work very well.

I called up Works & told me 329 a pair for the front & 509 for the back shock. Tommorrow I'm going to order the front pair & probably stick with stock in the back, thats alot of money for one shock.

Last night I ordered stock size Titan 489 a/t tires from RockyMtnAtv & Highlifter's 1.5" wide tracs. By the time I got home it was already to late to call Works Performace & the money was burning a hole in my account. Next mod will definatly be the shocks then probably another set of wide tracs along with piston & cam package.
