Foreman 450 odometer readings?
#1
I have a 450 ES that seems to run more miles up on the odometer than I actually seem to be traveling. Does anyone else notice this with theirs? I haven't actually calibrated it against a known distance yet, but it seems that I take short rides and notice 4 or 5 miles on the odometer when I think I only went 1 or 2. Am I just having so much fun that I don't know how far I went? I checked the hour meter against my watch and it seems to be OK. By the way, I'm running everything stock, including tires. Thanks.

I cross checked mine ( a rancher es )when I got it, everything around here is in 1/4 mile increments, 40 acre pieces you see. It's spot on the money with oem rubber at 4psi, probably some of the few odometer readings one can trust in the world of quads. I also put many more miles on it than I expected I would, some 1400 miles in the last nine months. How did I survive without a wheeler .
Note: Definately 10x better than the methods of -> er I gots 100 hours on here, lets see that's 100 hours at 20 MPH yah-2000 miles, (Yah as if! anyone that's got an hourmeter and a odometer knows what I mean.) Or how about -> er I put ten gallons of gas in her today, at twenty miles per gallon that's 200 miles fer the day, ( again AS IF. )

I'm going to try to calibrate it against a known distance today or tomorrow. My hour meter and spedometer also have nothing to do with each other - I often leave it running with the lights shining as I place decoys in the morning, sometimes for 15 or 20 minutes. I'll post my results. Thanks

That's about precisely what I meant on the hourmeter, perhaps it's just because gets an amount of utility work on it, but my average speed is like 8.8 mph for all motor time, not the 20 or 25 that many folks would guess.
