How do you get the bearings out of the rear hub on the raptor?

I thought you press them out, but it looks like the hub tapers down in the middle.

If you are talking about the carrier in the swingarm, just pound them out with a punch and a hammer. That's how I did mine, then just bump in the new ones.

Does it make a difference which side I push them out of?

Yes, drive them out the same side they are seated. Helps to have a bronze/brass punch. You can get one from any NAPA auto part store. The punch won't necessarily be tapered on the ends. Mine is about 3/4" in diameter and about 12" long.
