Has anyone ever installed one of their headlight kits? Is it something you can create yourself from components from your local auto parts store?

 

I have the headlight kit on my 2002 H.O. it works well,it does have a diode in the kit that is wired into the new wiring harness that they provide,you could have used a relay and accomplished the same results provided you have about an hour to run wires.The kit from Montana Jacks takes about 20 min to install.

 

I modified my lights on both my 400 exp and my 600 sport, I installed a toggle switch that shorts the green and yellow wire in the harness from the handlebar. When I throw the switch it causes all three lights to be on at the same time, when off they operate normally. I've been running this mod on the explorer for three years with no problem. it's a perfect setup, low beams aimed in front of the machine and high beam where me handlebar is pointed. And NO it doesn't waer the battery down or burn out the alternator.
