polarisrules 44,
Works Performance make the standard (short travel) struts for your machine. The only reason you would need longer A-arms is because you put the long travel struts, springs and tie rods on your machine as I did. The 1" more travel they will give you will be mostly taken up by sag in the front supension. Don't worry, that's normal. When the struts are fully extended (as being in mid air on a jump) the struts will use compression dampening rather than the springs to cushon the landing. On a stock system, the springs will take most of the abuse, this is not good. To make a spring to absorb big (sick) air you would have to make them so stiff that it would ride like you had stone wheels. To make a spring that will remain soft over the small bumps, it would be too soft and bottom if you got any air. The springs have to be strong enough to absorb the landing, yet supple enough to work well on bumps. You could try a dual rate spring kit, but these are generally made for use with the aftermarket struts. With the variable rate compression dampening on the Works struts you can get the best of both worlds. On jumps they stiffen up and on small bumps the remain pliant. Therefore you can (if you want) run a lighter spring(s) and still get good performance off big (within reason) jumps and still retain the cushy ride for smaller bumps.
I hope this helps.

Polarisrules44,
I have a set of works performance struts that I bought for my Xplorer 400. The rebound and compression dampening are set soft, for a very supple ride. I put the stockers back on since they work better for mud riding, which is what I mainly do. The works have about 10 hours on them. You can have them for $150 plus shipping if you want them. Let me know. They will fit your T-boss.
