I just got my tires on, 26x9x12 -26x12x12. OK first of the look KICK @$$. I took then for a first ride the steer GREAT! but they rub the fenders BAD!!!! I put then down to 6 lbs of air, they were at 8 and the back are the same. They still rubbed bad on SMALL bumps. I then moved the floor boards back 1" and its better but STILL they rub, they really have verry little clearance. I alrady have the rubber spacers from polaris,, help guys, I got the 26 so i would NOT need any thing. I cant imagine how big those 28's are these 26 are HUGE over the sotck 25's its unreal.. PLEASE help I dont want to have to babby the way I drive.

I got the heavy duty springs, the same ones on the Spotsman 6x6, they help quite a bit.

mudstud,
my 26" outlaws also rub- even with 2 sets of rubber inserts in the front springs! i also use wheel spacers- still no good.
i think if you want to ride hard, you will have to dig deep and invest in the new HD front springs.
BTW, the 'freedom edition' sportsman i looked at seems to have special HD front springs and really stiffen-up that front end.maybe those would work, maybe not...............
GOOD LUCK!

MudStud,I have a 2002 500 h.o. sportsman with 26x9x12 mudrunners on 12x7 ITP .190 alum. wheels on the front, and 26x12x12 mudrunners on 12x7 ITP .190 alum. wheels on the rear.I put the progressive front spring kit on before I put my tire and wheel package on I have no problem with rubbing while I ride and have never bottomed out while jumping the machine,I cant understand why your's is rubbing so bad.The spring kit that I put on my machine gave me about 1.25" inches more fender clearance on the front, but I think that even if I had not used the spring kit there would not have been any problems with the stock spring set up.Take a look at my machine you can copy my link and paste it in your web-browser an go directly to the picture and see how much clearance that I have on the front of my machine.

What is the off-set on those wheels? I have the Titan 26" M/T's on my 2001 HO with the ITP chrome whels and they DO NOT rub. I had put the rubber spacers in but removed them, not needed.

Note: I am running 3.5 pounds of air in my tires. I thought 7 was the max on these tires?

My brother in-law is running the 27" ITP 589's on ITP painted wheels. Only rubbed in hard turns until he installed "my" rubber spacers.

Try dropping your PSI down to 3 to 4 pounds. It has to be like riding on bricks with 6 to 8 pounds and a 6 ply tire!

Hope this helps'

Mark

High lifter sent them to me with 8 lbs I droped it down to like 6 or 5.5 something like that. The ride is not that bad ut they are REALLY like rocks. I ran 5lbs in stocks, you think i should run 4??? Will that prolong or shorten tire life depending on how much air is in? I can try that for sure..
