Hot Seat nerf bars

Has anyone installed these bars on thier bike yet ?? Does anyone know if they are painted alum. or polished ?? and if you have installed them are you happy with the fit and finish ?

I wouldn't want those nerfs if they were gold plated, unless I trimmed up my plastic, then The floorboards would look kinda dumb. Really, I think they look pretty good, If you have trimmed plastic and only ride in the sand dunes. I have a friend with a warrior, and he put on some nerf bars because they looked cool. They are more trouble than they are worth. They always get caught on tree branches, and stumps, and Even if you cross a teny tiny stream, you get water all over you. They weigh the same as the stock floorboards, and provide less protection. I say no, but Thats my opinion.

I just noticed you do have race cut plastic, If you ride mostly dunes, and like the looks, You might be better off getting them. I bet those floorboards look dumb with race cut plastic.
