Wolverine K & N filter Questions
#1
Ok, a little help for the novice here please. I just put a K&N with outerwear my '01, Do I need to rejet the carb ? what about airbox lid ?? I thought I saw where the wolve DID NOT need rejetting , but I dont want to harm the engine for obvious reasons. My riding is mostly light to medium desert 4x4 ,some glamis (rode it up comp and olds)
TIA

I had read before that it was probably a good idea to change the jetting if you put a K&N on.
You took your Wolverine to the dunes? How did it handle? I have been considering it but didnt want to be constantly lifting it out. What kind of tread did u have on the tires u used?
Thanks

It handled awesome ! It towed my buddies banshee back into camp with no probs ! (broken throttle cable) Seriously, I have OEM front and 489 AT's on back ( dunflat lasted all of 1 week before a tiny sidewall puncture finished it) , OEM @ the dealer was $100 per tire or 2 titans from rocky mountain delivered for $110 hmmmmmm not a hard call. Anyway on to your question the only prob I had was I jumped a ridge as I was turning and the 4X4 dug right into the turn pulling the front end into the turn and my big ole butt right off All my friends took turns on it after that and loved the suspenion. I seriuosly climbed comp hill frontwards and went 3/4 up BACKWARDS! If you wanna dune for fun its perfect, if ya wanna jump bowls or race take the ole banshee,raptor,400ex,etc.
