I have been having a problem while riding my raptor. My hands keep going numb. I thought it was just me, but one of my friends rode my bike and his hands went numb also. I rode his 400ex and I was fine. My question is anyone else having this problem and what have you done to the bike to correct it ?????

My raptor engine was rebuilt by YSA in phoenix. They left the nut loose on the primary gear that is on the crankshaft. This gear runs the clutch, and counterballancer. When the loose gear wears the shaft key away it causes the crank and ballancer to go out of synk. Mine started to vibrate the bars and pegs so bad my feet went to sleep. If the key breaks the ballancer and crank will collide. I dont know if you have the same problem. Does the engine have a rattling noise? If so check it out. The ballancer is also keyed. Good luck!

I had a similar problem and I put Renthal bars on mine and it was better due to the aluminum construction and its vibration absorption ability. I also got some Lockhart-Phillips anti-vibration bar ends for a streetbike and cut the diameter down on the mounts to fit into the Renthals. This cut down on the vibration even further. They may make some specifically for the smaller hole in the thick walled Renthals but I couldn't find any. All in all, these two things helped out a ton!
