Ive been racking up the hours on my 02 raptor and Ive noticed that when I use the reverse it sometimes stalls out or sputters and will not engage properly. When Im in a technical spot in the woods or i even try to back up a small hill it doesnt seem to work properly. Can someone give me some insight to this problem.

thanks,

Eric

You may need to adjust the reverse cable. Follow the cable down from the bars to the adjustment about mid-way down the front of the frame on the oil filter side. Now, adjust the cable 'till Reverse engages easily before the reverse **** is even halfway turned. Now reverse is "fully" engaged before an attempt is made to put the Raptor into reverse.
