The best thing I can think of that might help, is something I figured after my first atv jettin job. Loosen the carb and twist it in the isolators to get at what you need to get at, rather than removing the sucker.

You can handle it. I put some comments(hints) at the bottom of my pictures to help. If you have any questions just ask.

Good Luck if you choose to accept this mission.

Pull the carbs completly off the machine, and take your time. Its not hard and there are really no tricks. Just take your time and dont lose any parts

The best tip I could give you is to un-bolt the airbox and move it back as far as you can push it. It will give you extra room to make sure the boots are securly seated against the carbs. I have tried it without doing that and it's a pain!! So much in fact I think that may be why so many people have had them blow off. They could have just come from the factory not properly seated and it is a random thing that happens. Everyones boots haven't blown off, so it's probably not a design flaw. Just a thought.

Anyway ........loosen the airbox, completely pull the carbs out and turn them over. Tools: get yourself a nice set of T-Handle Metric allen wrenches and you will be in buisness.

We just rejetted our Raptor for the first time yesterday. We did it a different way. We did not remove any plastic or the gas tank. We did completely remove the airbox. I thought I could get the carbs out that way. But I couldn't get the silly cables off so I changed jets without removing the carbs. With the airbox removed you can work on the carbs through there. It was tight, and I did one bowl at a time to avoid banging into something and screwing up a float level. I did not remove any rubber hoses except the gas line to the carbs, the manifold at the carbs and the intake hoses at the airbox.
.....Next time I think I would figure out how to disconnect the cables first, and just pull the carbs out through the airbox space.
.....Getting the carbs seated back in the rubber intakes is a bitch. Loosening the clamps totally makes a big difference. That is something you cannot screw up or half-***. Click,Click,Boom.
.....It took a little over an hour. I'm sure I could do it in under an hour next time. I can rejet my DS in about 5 minutes. Allen head bowl screws are the way to go.
