I hear that the 500 is kinda race only(frequent teardown). I have heard that the 435 or 446 is a better way to go.

Hillclimbinfool,
How many discs are you running in your ids2???
and what size jet???
I just installed this setup and in the process of tweeking it out...
Did you modify your air box in any way???
I'm running all discs with the jet dynojet supplied it is a 155...
Runs good,, but was going to take lid off of air box to see if increase in airflow will give me more...
Thanks

i have the kit you are talking about. had a 446 kit. went with the nic-a-sil cyl., port and flowed the head, 4th and 5the gear set up out of a 2wd big bear for more top end. massive amount of power. no reliabilty problems. richie travellena raced his on the gncc circuit for two years and had no problems.

Tripower- How did you like the 446 kit? DO you have any other mods? clutch, intake ect. What kind of power are we talking about? can you compare it to another stock bike? If you don't mind me asking, how much did you pay for the 446, 500 kits?

Is your bike any harder to start? Run any hotter? what compression?

Any info is greatly appreciated as you are one of the few who has dared to take the Wolverine to the extreme.

I salute you.

airwolf, the 446 kit was great. the main reason i went 500 was for the 4th and 5th gear set up. i couldn't find anybody with the gear setup and the 446 kit. i wasn't sure if it would pull them. ex. is stock, cam is stock, carb is stock. i am after all the torque and low end power i can get. clutch setup is all stock except for the clutch springs, 4 stroke techs. massive amount of power. take a 4x4 diesel truck put it in low range 4 wheel drive and mash the thottle, thats what this thing feels like. i have a mid range cam i will try this summer. the 446 kit was around 1200.00 the 500 kit was over 2000.00 i don't have the exact figure in front of me. the bike starts and runs fine. doesn't over heat. compression is 10-1 will probably try a 11-1 piston this summer, since i have the nic-a-sil liner. by the way, did you get my email about the 446 kit.

i heard that the 446 kits were great on the warriors that is what i'm thinking of gettin for my WARRIOR.

if you are goin to get the 446 kit i would put a manual clutch on it,,,, i think that would make your WOLVERINE awsome. i heard bout this from my MARCH2 2002 dirtwheels. they said FST could make a wolverine a manual clutch for 85 bucks which i think is a great deal. get a dirtwheels and read bout it that would be the way i would go,,,,,, with the 446 kit and manual clutch.

i think with that combo you would kill any other 4x4 and run with warriors and ex's....

GOOD LUCK

Can't remember where I read this but I heard the Warrior 446 kit is not as expensive as the Wolverines kit but the Warrior kit can be used on the Wolverine and it produces more power for the Wolverine than the actual Wolverine kit. Anybody else hear of that?
