I have one on my 400 and really like it!! The altitude compensation feature seems to work very well (probably not something you'll need in Texas). The power really hits hard in the mid and high range, but I can't say I gained much low end. Never felt that the throtle was stiff either. Anyway, call Edelbrocks tech service. The guys there are Jason and Mike, and they have always been super helpfull. They are local, so I had them do my installation. Sorry I don't have their number here, but you can get if off one of their adds in the magazines.
Adjustment (don't call it jetting, because there are no jets to change) is simple. There are different size needles, which you use to set the mixture at 1/3 to full open throttle. Below 1/3 throtle, just adjust the needle height (you can do it out on the trail while you are riding).
Good Luck!

Ah, I did have the phone number. It is 909-654-6677, ex2. Also, the pump shot is adjustable (the skrew on the side). See the article http://www.off-road.com/atv/projects...wiksilver.html There is another (better I think) article out there, but I can't find it right now.

This is a "pumper" carb (the stock carb is a pumper also). When you hit the accelerator, there is a "shot" of fuel into the carb. This improves low end response, and eliminates the hesitation you get if you just rely on air flow alone to suck fuel up from the float bowl. Of all the things to adjust on a carb, leave this one until last.
Has this carb been on a bike?? If it has, all the settings are probably different from stock. Call the tech guys, and they can tell you how to get it back to the stock settings. Then install it, and fine tune it according to its performance out on the trail.
