relay @ rt. rear wheel Foreman 350
#1
The ATV is a 1987 or 1988 Honda Foreman F 350. I do not have a manual. Located in a small "box" above the right rear wheel is a rectangular device that I think is the fuel pump relay. I am not getting any power to the fuel pump and I think this is the source of the problem. Can someone verify that this is the fuel pump relay and please elaborate as to how this relay works. Any thoughts as to the replacement costs and source? Thanks in advance

Kirk,
Thanks for the response. I have the Foreman running again. I installed a low pressure electric fuel pump from an auto discount store and it was a near fit. As for the relay that controlled the old fuel pump I tore it apart and actually it was a solid state device. As per what you posted I identified the incoming and outgoing wires and the ground. There was an additional wire, that with my meter, showed to be a low resistance but having no voltage with the ignition on or off. The circuit is protected by a 10 amp fuse and the replacement pump called for the same protection so I eliminated the relay. Again, thanks for your help.
