Will a 02 Rancher fit in a O1 Silverado Shortbed with the tail gate closed?
Reading dimensions says it will. Measuring and looking... looks like it will punch out the back window on the truck.

Seems common. Anybody got this setup?

 

My Grizzly just barely squeezes into my '77 Ford Short Box. But the Grizzly is way bigger than the Rancher. Here's what I do though, I put an old tire in between the front bumper of the ATV, and the back of the truck, that way if it jars a little, the tire absorbs the shock. Works great. My big problem came when I was unloading, was using a set of planks, one of them kicked out[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-shocked.gif[/img], machine was half on, half off truck, enough off that it came crashing down, pinned my leg underneith. Did $305 damage to front wheel[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-disgusted.gif[/img], just in parts. So, I recommend getting a good ramp or set of ramps, that chain to your bumper. Be Careful.

 

I watch a guy load a grizz with an aluminium ramp but he didn't use the safety cable. The rear tires on the grizz kicked the ramps out as they transitioned to the tailgate. He was lucky it didn't land on him. However he did have to replace the now V shaped tailgate. Yet there was now replacement for cool points, he lost all of them.
