WhAtS the easiest way to get bearing out of my carrier

one of the bearings fell about in the bearing carrier on my tecate and i cant get the outer race out. please help me with this. any ideas? how do you guys get your out when they fall apart?

either use a dremel tool to split the race, or use a torch and heat the carrier up till it comes out.

i dont have a dremal..i burnt the motor out in it. and my carrier is alunminum and i think the torch would melt it or deform it...any more ideas though?

I have used a socket just small enough to get inside the carrier and hit it with a hammer gently to get it out. When you go to reinstall the new bearings, put them in the freezer over night. They are so much easier to install when you freeze them.

a torch won't melt it. just heat it up some, don't get it red hot.

ok thank you both. i will try the torch tonight and i will freeze my bearing as well

ok got it out last night finally by using a blow torch and a home made tool. thanks guys
