I had Holeshots and now have Shredders. The Shredders have lasted 3 times as long as the Holeshots and are not worn out yet. I am trying Razrs next....

I have 20" razors on my atc 250r. They slide really well and wear slowly. I have had them for over a year and they show little wear. I have a buddy with the same bike as me with holeshots. They seem to wear quite a bit quicker and don't ride as nice. I don't know about shredders but they look like they are the same as razors.

Holeshots! Look at what the racers are using. Most are using Holeshots, and some on Razrs. The Holeshot wasn't copied by so many people for no reason!

I thought most racers used grooved Turf Tamers. I have heard they are the best. I have holeshots and they hookup really well. The turf tamers are supposed to slide much better.

Top MX'ers are using the Holeshot MX, Travis Spader etc, wile some prefer Turf Tamers on the rear with groved car tires up front. The Xcounrty set are using Holeshot XC's (although a lot use Razrs for Xcountry). Desert racers are using the XCT's (6 ply and taller sizes).

Read the mags, look at their tires, I do, and chose the XCT Holeshots. Never had better for my riding.

BTW, the MX is soft and 2 ply and wear quickly, but lots of grip. The XCT's are hard compound, 6 ply, and wear very slow (had mine 2 years - no flats in that time).

ITP have just released the XCR whigh is 6 ply, but smaller sizes (20&quot and a different coumpound to the XCT's, from which the pattern is a copy. The XCR stands fro Cross Country Racing! Go Figure!

If you do a lot of grass tracks, the Turf Tamer is about the best tire to hook up on this stuff.
