Has anyone had the WORKS Rear Shock Heart Transplant on a Raptor? Did you notice a substantial difference?

That was my fear. $175 is cheap compared to buying a new rear shock, but if it dosen't help much I could use that money elsewhere.

Thanks

What year is your Banshee Seven??

Dont know what the "heart transplant" is, but I just went through a rear shock problem on my son's modified 250X which we race in mx. This has a Works "Ultracross" shock, with a rezzie and rebound adjust. We found it way too soft, bottoming out on the larger jumps, and tried all the normal adjustments with no success. We went to our local race shop where the suspension guy/owner checked out the compression valve and pronounced it normal and said it had the stiffest valve spring possible. We scrounged around the shop, and found a spring that was 20% longer, had a slightly larger coil dimension (thickness of the metal in the coil) and the same ID. It fit on the shock perfectly by unscrewing the upper spring retainer. We calculated a 30% spring rate gain and this combination works perfectly now. The shop ownwer gave me a straight out swap on my spring and charged me $15.00 for his time. Dont know if this helps, but it was a cheap fix for us.
