Hi guys im deciding what i would like to do. I'm sick of my Warrior not enought power for me, now i ride trails, Open fields, Sand, and coal fields. Ive always loved the banshee and the 250R. Iknow that many riders like both but Im just wondering would i be better off with a 2002 shee or build a 250R. Ive heard high repair costs for the shee seeing as it being 2 cylinders and etc... I ride every chance i get to but mostly the weekends. I just love the smell of 2 stroke and believe it or not i like mixing the gas and oil lol.Now i know the raptor is a high performance machine and it is a four stroke but I would like to like every other week when i get money just but upgrades for my bike. The two stroke business is unlimited while four strokes it's takes alot to get them moving for the money your pay with mods. Id appreaciate it if you could help me out. Thanx

Hmmm... I would say to get a Banshee, that way you can mod the hell out of it, and it isn't 15 years old, or a 4-Stroke. Another reason is that this may be your last chance to get a Banshee, NEW, so do it now, maybe Yamaha will decide to update it instead of quit producing it, that would bump up their sales (probably, but thats another topic.) Where do you usually ride though, that will be the deciding factor probably.

I know how you feel, theres nothing like the instant power of a 2 stroke. Theres nothing like the reliability of a 4 stroke. Contrary to popular belief it does'nt take alot of money to get a 4 stroke moving. Don't get me wrong I love 2 strokes and always will love them. Also why is it everyone seems to have a problem with the DS? Bike for bike, mod for mod, money for money I have yet to have a Raptor out run me and the DS weighs almost 100Lbs. more that the Rappy. Ok, off my soap box, the 250R is great IF you can find a nice one and if you do your going to fork out some cash. The Banshee is also a great bike BUT you can buy them new and know what you getting.

I rode a Raptor the other day. I must say i was quite disappointed. The lack of power was unreal! I got more thrill on a piped 400EX.

250R... Well, it's like a dream.
