New quad for the wife
#1
I am looking to buy a new quad for the wife. She is a beginner. After researching, it appears the Polaris Trailblazer is a good bike for beginners. She does not want to shift or deal with a clutch. I am a little skeptical of the reliability. I have heard good and bad stories about Polaris. I have been quoted $3900 out the door for a freedom series bike which is the red, white and blue bike. Do you think this is a fair deal?

Don't know about that price, but my recommendation is to avoid Polaris. The more you read in this forum about them, the more people you will find that agree. About the only people who will use reliable and Polaris in the same statement are guys who own one. My uncle owns 2 of them, and he had to put a new chain on them both before they were even a year old. Have to take 10 min. to grease the dozen grease fittings on them before every ride. Bearings still end up dry from time to time, even after doing this. His are 4X4's, and the hubs don't come unlocked, so when you use the 4 wheel drive and then turn it off, back up, then take off again, one wheel or the other will often catch and pull you to one side. Just my .02, but I would look for another brand.
