I just took my top end apart for a rebuild. My piston has the letters "in" or "ni" on the top, with the word "art" on the side. Is this an "Art" brand piston or is this the original ?
Thanks, Daniel

The "IN" stands for intake, make sure that side goes towrads the intake when you put a new piston in, or you'll be spending some serious $$$ to fix it. Honda used "ART" brand pistons, it could be stock bore, eaiest thing to do is take the cylinder and piston to a shop, have them measure it for you, then order a new piston .010 over whatever bore it is now, then have the cylinder bored to have proper fit. Hope that helped.

I prefer Wiseco. They're forged and stronger than a cast type piston.

I usually replace my pistons once a year (about 50-60 hours run time)

Keeps the engine fresh and eliminates the chance for stress related failure.
