You should be able to handle it if you are smart. its alot better than a warrior, besides the reverse. Its faster and alot better suspenion and ergonomics. so go with the 400ex!

well a 400EX is a big step up from a blaster and a huge step up from an LT80. I am only 13 as well and I ride a 250 mojave on the trails. i am a very good and experienced rider and racer, but I have been riding for a long time. i have ridden modded out 400EX's, Banshees, warriors, raptors, 250r's, quadzillas, and anything you can think of. now a 400EX's is about 66mph top speed compared to the blasters top speed of only about 54mph. now there is a big difference. it also depends on your size and weight, the suspension on the 400EX is more set-up for over 170LBS and stronger riders to control it. i would reccomend moving up to a blaster or mojave if you want a quick mid-sized level machine. i would definetley wait a few years on the 400EX.and if the blaster or mojave isnt quick enough they can be piped and moded very cheap.

While the 400EX is the best aggressive novice machine on the planet, I don't know if I'd recommend it for a 14 year old beginner. IF the teen in question was mature enough, and IF the terrain he was riding on wasn't too technicle, it might be o.k. I'm a big fan of dirt bikes for kids to learn on. They pick up more good habbits & skills and don't run the risk of getting squashed on a steep hillsides.

NO FEAR i own a 300ex and can handle it fine at least when i stay out of the mud im 14 and fit great on it plus it goes fast but that 400ex hell go with that to either the 300ex majve or 400ex these are the best on the market. once again i remind you NO FEAR i would plaster it on my quad if it didnt look so damn ugly. dont go with the blaster or dont even consider a mini. GOOD LUCK

oh ya for power and speed MOJAVE GOES 58 mph 300ex goes 59 mph blaster goes 54 and 400ex goes from 65 to 67. Oh ya wow is it reall easier to learn on a dirt bike cause i heard it was like 10 times harder. how big are you also im 5'8 150 and fit my 300ex perfectly

you can handle a 400ex, its not hard, just watch popping the clutch its easy to put it on its back. plus is will wear out faster. the handling on it is awesome but watch it you can still roll it. i also have a warrior, i can't tell much diffrence between them on power but everything else the 400 wins.
