can i handle it

Stay with the lt80 for awhile or atleast at 250ex. Don't buy the 400 because I don't believe any 14 year old can handle it. I would hate to see anything bad happen to a kid. Remember...You always have to have respect for the machine and alittle fear just may keep you alive. Trust me... I know!!

My first quad was a 300ex and I owned it for about a year and a half and then in December (2001) I bought my brand spankin new Cannondale Cannibal! I am by NO means saying that you should get a C-dale... probably way to much power for your amount of experience but I'm saying that you should consider a 300ex. They are EXTREMELY fun quads and they will last through almost anything. Very tough quads and I was able to learn A LOT on it. I don't think the 400ex is to much for you to handle. If you have a friend w/ one, ask him if you can take a spin on it and since you have ridden a blaster, you obviously know how to work the clutch. Just be careful since the 400ex LOVES to wheely.
A stock 400ex doesn't have a whole lot of power, so I think you could handle it just fine. I mean, it's not a freakin Zilla....
