Has anyone upgrded their sportsman 500 with the wheels and tires that come on the new 700? Are the bolt patterns the same? How much for all 4? Can you order online?

 

I have them on my Sportsman and they do have alot of grip. Can also throw a heckofa mud roostertail. Do not know about putting them on a 700. When I bought my 500, I don't think they were selling them separately yet. That may have changed now.

 

You misunderstood his question. They come with the 700.

 

I got the same Raw Hide tires on my 02 500HO SE. 12" all the way around and you have a good question, how much do they co$t and is it the same bolt pattern?

You probably can order online but I would try and make a deal with a dealer somewhere. Shipping and online retail is gonna cost ya.

I know that they also come on the 500's. The question was, would the 700 tire and rim setup fit a 500. In other words, if someone had a set of tires and rims off a 700 could you bolt them on a 500.

 

The fronts would because both have 12" rims. The backs on all 500's (except the SE and some others that were offered lately with the Raw Hides) all have 10" rear rims so you would have to change the rear rims for sure.

I am not sure if the width was differnt on the front but I don't think so.

 

I am pretty sure that the rims/Rawhide tires from the 700 wil fit a 500. If they are putting them on the SportsmanX they should fit any other 500.The Rawhide tires are the same size(25x8 frt. 25x11 back)as the 500's are, except that the 700 has 12" rims front and back, and the 500 has 12" frt. 10" back.

 

I have just purchased a SP500 Freedom which comes with the Rawhide tires and chrome wheels. and they are the exact same wheels and tires that come with the SP700. I know serveral guys who didn't want the that setup and opted for the stock SP500 tires and wheels. They all interchange with no problems the only difference is the rear wheels 10 vs. 12. But as long as you dont try to switch just the tires everything is fine.
