What did you use to mount the GPS? My dads sportsman has the same problem in that he doesn't have enough room on the handle bars. I was actually able to mount mine next to the throttle housing on my cat. I have the Garmin 12cx.

 

I used the Garmin handelbar mount,it is not very versital but worked for my needs. The RAM mount is very adjustable but it costs twice as much. Mine works great where it is, easy to see, somewhat protected and can still get to the buttons. I got it at gpscity, great prices and great service.

What I meant was, What did you use to mount the Garmin Handle Bar Mount onto? I see that your mount is not actually on the handle bars but it appears to be mounted out by the speedometer. I was wondering what you attached to the handle bars that still allowed you to use the Garmin mount? I have seen the RAM Mounts and they are a little spendy but they are very nice.

 

Sorry I'm a little slow at times. I fabricated a piece of 3/4" pipe from my center headlight mount. I made the head light mount over 2 years ago, it steers with the handlebars. I recomend one of these to anyone that does any night riding. If anyone wants one of these I can hook them up just email or PM me.
