I had this idea after considering the noise rules at Silver Lake- I wonder if I could adapt a stock Raptor silencer to work on a 400EX. Perhaps we could get better gas flow and still keep it quiet. Am I crazy?

Anything is possible. You'll have the quitness of a stock exhaust and still have plenty of flow. I put a 400ex stock exhaust on my 250x now I'm going to use it on my 350x conversion.

What is wrong with the stock 400ex exhaust? It's not quite enough?

Even if it would work, the output hole for both is about the same......seemingly very little gain would be realized.

It looks like the Raptor silencer is quite a bit longer than the 400EX's. I don't think it will fit without sticking out the back way too far.
