I have a 00 foreman 400 and when I am riding it hard and shifting through the gears somtimes I be going and then it jumps out of gear. It a painful sound when u gear the gearings grinding tell the stop spinning. Anyone experence this. What is causing it to do this?

 

sounds like you clutch basket needs to be checked out

 

this most likely isn't it but here's something to look into i had a 95 400 forman when it was brand new and a few months pass it won't come out of frist gear somehow it fixed it's self lol and a few weeks later i was out rideing and it did it agein i had to ride home in #2 and took it to the dealer which told me there was a minor recall on some bolt in the tranny i forget what but they have almost had to fix this by 00 id hope

 

my 01 450 does that somtimes when i try to shift to 2nd going through the mud it really is the worst sound to hear. i dont know how to fix it. i just hit the holes in 2nd gear now.

 

makes me cry to have to aimt dependabilty issues with a honda hope the polaris and yamaha guy's don't read this or it'll be payback time huh lol
