lovinhonda, could you please just try and take a few more minutes with your posts? Please use periods at the ends of sentencing?Start each new sentencing with a CAPITAL letter? If you happen to make an error on your spelling,at least I can figure out what your trying to say.PLEASE dont take this the wrong way,im meerly just trying to make sense out of your posts and it's very hard without using capital letters and periods. Thanks====BILL

My 2000 ES has been shifted my miles manually than electronically. This is because my E shifting is failing.Being raised on Polaris I purchased the ES over the S because of the full floor boards. My dealer service (friend) recommend the S over the ES, although he said that the new ES has no problems with prior years battery drain. He does'nt have any idea why my electronic shifting is messed up (especially when wet).
Any way my gear indicator only shows R, N, 1st and 5th when I shift it manually.I'm planning to design a better shift lever to mount semi-permentaly to tho Es gear selector shaft.

Hey Cortez 130m you haven't even gave it a chance yet. Just try what I told you and if it doesn't work take it back and tell your dealer to fix it or give you a new one. if they won't give you a new one tell them to shove it. then go buy something different. How long you been riding anyway? Have fun! Kick it hard if it won't shift and tell Honda.
