I nead some real imfo on a yamaha blaster. At first i wanted a Banshee but there somewhat out dated and I dont have that much cash. so its eather a 92 banshee or a new Blaster. Right now I think the blaster would be way beter. Plus it very hard to find a good used banshee, most people abuse them and fix 'em there slef, Even a Yamaha moters repair person said that Banshees are the most abused Quad of all of them.

so, whats the top speed of a Yamaha Blaster, Well it beat my friends 55 mph dirtbike?

Hows its 0-60 mph.

I know its only got 15.2 ft-lb's of torqe (banshee has 33-ft-lbs) but the grizz only has 28-ft-lbs So well this torqe thing relly mater? I don't ride up hills or in sand?

I know the rear brakes are bad, ill just replace 'em.

Im about 6 feet tall is this quad too small, i dout this.

How bad is the suspenison relly?

Is 200 cc enouth power (for a 16-year old)?

Oh, ya I ride on grass, minor mud (MINOR 4IN'S) Dry dirt, and nice trails. Never on sand, water. And I don't want to race.

*(And if you plan on saying blasters suck, buy a banshee-say why if you don't-don't bother make these replys decent. sorry i shouldnt have to do this).

Thanks for your time, please help me. -jake

I found this, I think that you might wan't to read it:

Blasters are good little quads, and they have decent suspension, just as good as either the Banshee or Warrior but all three have bad front shocks. New out the door after tax and title is about $3200. Used anywhere from $1400 to $2500. They have their own class at most racing events so that tells you how popular they are. Their are a few problems with them like the back brakes suck but that is easily fixed with a Trenga Hydro.
kit. The Blaster is also the lightest full sized quad you can get so it is a pretty good jumper and they are way more reliable than any other two stroke. They are 195CC but most call it a 200. There is a very strong aftermarket for it also.
Which means that you can improve just about anything on it. I have found that a stock Blaster can do anything that any other sport quad can do, maybe not as good but it can do it. Just to let you know, there are a few people on this board that don't like the Blaster, most of them have probably never ridden one or even seen one in action, they see the cheap price tag and think it is a totalpiece of junk. The Blaster is by far the funnest quad on earth. When you goriding with buddies and come to a place where you just play around, like a sawdust pile or someones yard or something like that everyone will want to ride
the Blaster because it is very peppy and is super easy to do wheelies and cookies and jumps on. I ride with Banshees, Polarises, 300EX's, 400EX's,
Mojave's, Warriors, 250R's both Honda and Sujuki, and some utility quads. When we drag race everyone wants the Banshee but when we play around
everyone wants the Blaster.

You also have to watch the oil injector they have been known to wear out and seize engines.Blasters are fun to ride but still aren't as reliable as a 4 stroke.Personaly i wouldn't buy one.But its your money do what you want with it.

Why are you getting your first quad so late? And why did you choose a blaster? I have nothing against it, just curious.

I bought a Blaster new in '94, and last I checked it was still running, needing only the head gasket replaced. I had it for almost 2 years before I sold it, with absolutely no problems. The guy I sold it to races it (that's why he blew the head gasket) and loves it. The top end has been rebuilt only once, with a higher compression piston, because the bike sat for almost a year without being started. I loved it when I had it, but I needed something bigger. I've gotten heavier over the past few years, so now I ride a Warrior.

At 6 foot, I think you would be too big for one. The fun factor also tops out with a rider over 180 pounds.

A Warrior maybe?
