Hey all,
I am in the market for an enclosed trailer in the 8'-8.5' wide and 20' to 24' length. I also want at least the interior height to be 6.5'.
I know some of you have these and if you could share where you got them and what kind of prices you got that would be very helpful. I know that jeffnrivercity just bought one recently and have his info. Anyone else purchase something similar and get a good deal. I am willing to travel in the western states, so if you know of one somewhere let me know. The only things I really need are a ramp door on the back and a side door, maybe with a window.
Any help or info would be appreciated. I have searched the net and sent out emails also.
Thanks
Bat

Hey Bat,
Give Roxie Goode a call at Greg Goode Trailer sales in Kalipell,MT 1-800-411-4285
I have never seen any one get close to her prices. She can set it up so you can pick it up from one of Pace American's facility's(save $$$$)Pace has plants in Utah,Georgia,Indiana & Texas.1/2 down, 1/2 on pick up.
How do you like your new pick-up? I just figured out how to by-pass(re-program) the damm auto locks and seatbelt reminder on mine!!!Thank god!! those 2 new features were driving me nuts.

Hey Jeff, Thanks I will give them a call tommorow. I found a haulmark locally and it is outfitted perfect, black and white floors, diamondplate all over, a real nice trailer. I went on their backlot, because I saw it from the front and thought that looks like what I want, the guys in the dealership did not even know about it, so it may be a special order for someone. I dont know. I am going to check with them tommorow also and see if they know yet.
I love my truck, it is a great truck and I would not settle for less. I am still digging sand out from dumont though. I have not played around with it much, the quads are my new toys and I also have a couple of project cars, so my money gets spread pretty thin.
Marky, I like the toy haulers, but they are a little more than I want to spend right now. I am still shopping around, so if I find a great deal I may go that way. I figure with the enclosed trailer, after I get the toys out, I can set up my airbeds and make a nice cozy place to sleep out of the wind (dumont wind sucks) and away from the weather if it turns bad.
Anyway thanks for the responses so far.

Bat:
You started by talking about little modifications on the DS and ended up deciding on the 760 so we all know you will end up with a 40' diesel pusher and a 30' enclosed trailer for the toys.
But seriously, I just bought the Weekend Warrior. Let me know if you want to know any details on it. I should take delivery the end of the month.

Faster, I usually go all out when I buy something. Hence the 760. Of course I will have the piston, cams, carb to hold me over until I can get that.
As for the trailer, I have another bad habit, it is hot rods or street rods or anything fast and cool looking. I have two projects, a 31 model A and a 53 chevy. So, I am thinking if I can get an enclosed trailer that will work for those too then I will be ahead in the long run. And then when I can, I will most likely get some kind of weekend warrior.
Hey Jeff, how long did it take from order to being able to pick up your trailer?
Thanks guys for the info

BAT I have been looking at trailers also, not quite as long in length as you, but if you plan to haul cars in it, do some research on the frame you pick. some of them use a solid frame and some use a welded two piece. If your hot rods weigh much I would check into the frame construction. ATVs aren't as critical because they don't weigh as much. Pace are good and priced less but some use the two piece frame. I just looked at wells cargo today and they cost more but they seem better built and the longer trailers use a solid one piece frame. I am leaning towards the wells cargo even though they cost more, they just look alot better when you start to compare the construction. Like Pace they are made in Utah also, they have a plant in Ogden. So maybe you can find a dealer that can order and pick up at the plant to save some dollars.

Hey Bat, I just ordered a new Lariat F-250 crew cab V-10, auto, short box in Island Blue. This will replace the '92 Chevy Z-71 x-cab that is feeling its age and half-ton puny-ness pulling quads and a camper around. Skyler gets that, he will be 14 this summer and can drive it around here, legally when he's 15.
.... A century "Royal" Cap, and a reverse vehicle aid sensor for my wife!! tops it off!

Fourlix, that is the exact same truck as mine, except mine is the charcoal grey color, with black lower two tone. I think one of the best things for 2002 was them going to the dana 60 front axle.
I love the truck. It does everything I throw at it and more. You will be happy with it I am sure.

You guys are ready for Superchips. I recently puchased one for my powerstroke. WOW,what a difference. It will smoke all four rear tires easily. It wants to do 75 on the highway basicaly idling in overdrive. My dealer recommended and installed it.
I've heard it improves V-10's as well.
