You have got to be kidding me!!! I went to ATV Action site and saw it right there. Spitting image of the Z400. However, they did state that Kawi. may have another sport machine they are going to release, maybe with the v-twin. What a cop out using the Z400.

It is not really a suprise that they are re-badgeing a Z-400. What is pretty bad is that they could of atleast made it look like a Kawasaki. Maybe some Mojave like fenders or their race style fenders. Hopefully that is just a computer generated green Z-400. After all it is March 15th and the Kawasaki web site has nothing in regards to it. Maybe they are working on final styling? The Z-400 package apears as if it will be a good one, I just hope Kawie improves on it's looks!

All either company is trying to do is get brand loyal people to buy the products. It's like the 650, if it were had a Polaris badge on it, Polaris people would be jumping to by it. No guilt from the buyers, and twice the profits for the manufacturer.

Hey First off let me start by saying I would buy it over the one with Suzuki on it, because I like Kawi. I also dont think that is a real pic on ATV Action, I think they made that because when I read the article it said Kawasaki is expected to announce a new Suzuki BASED sports quad soon. I think, although I'm not sure that they will, but they will probably change the plastic a little & maybe the tires also. I would like some Tecate like plastic with a cool flip-up headlight.

I agree with Kodiak, it doesn't look like a real photo to me. I realize Kawasaki simply changed the plastic on the DR 125 and called it a KLX but that is a low end machine. I don't think they would do it on a premier sport quad. If they do....well, that would be kind of lame. I'd personally buy the Z400 over a Kawasaki copy any day, unless Kawi offers the quad for a cheaper price.
Somewhere I read that Kawi was going to use the DR-Z 400 motor and install it in a perimeter frame to create a new KLX 400. That to me is what I expected the partnership to produce. Maybe Kawi will use the Z400 engine and place it in the old Tecate 4 frame. That wouldn't surprise me at all since Kawi tends to keep there designs around a lot longer than most manufacturers. They certainly wouldn't use the Mojave frame....or would they?
