I was just wondering what is the fastest sport quad. the 400ex, cannondale 400, banshee , or bombardier? I'd appreciate your input!
I thought it was the c-dale or the bombrdier, but he seems to think it is the banshee.

Cannondale does not make 400cc quads. They make 440cc quads. The Cannondale moto440 im sure is the fastest stock quad known to date.

Yes, the fastest, IN PRODUCTION still. The Quadzilla 500 is the fastest ever, period..

 

I would wager that the MOTO is not the fastest! nOT TO MANY MX TRACKS where you need 75 plus mph. Check the stock gearing on the cannon line of each quad.

 

Geez this is like the 100th debate we have had over this. Cannondale is fast stock but so is the Raptor and DS. The difference is that the Raptor and DS have more potential horsepower. The Dale is lighter but I dont know about that aluminum frame. Even aluminum bike frames bend after a while. Wait a few years and I bet you start to hear about frame problems. You put the price difference between a dale and a raptor into the raptor and it will destroy the dale. Stock to stock, the ridiculously choked raptor is a little slower.

You would have to be nuts to leave the raptor stock though. The powerband is horrible. Stock the raptor has NO low end and then the midrange power just slams in. This makes hillclimbing very difficult because the powerband will just kick in and the front tires come up. Everytime i see a stock raptor i watch them and laugh because I can predict what is going to happen. They are going to go up a hill, start to bog a little then hit the gas and wheelie out of control. LOL. If this is you, GET A SLIP ON muffler at least. Even without the jetkit and air filter, it will make the raptor much easier to ride. For it to be faster you have to change all 3 though.

The Zilla is the fastest stock quad ever (I had one) but the new banshee mods will destoy any zilla no matter how many mods it has. That may not be the case if zillas were still made but oh well, Suzuki wussed out.

 

I dont know if you guys read the shootout in may issue of 4 wheel action but out of the DS650, C-Dale cannable, Raptor, 400ex and the Banshee the banshee had the top MPH at 77.7 the next fastest I think was the c-dale not sure though.

Raptor=76.9 mph
DS650=76.1 mph
Cannondal=75.1 mph
400ex=66.8 mph

Everybody who thinks the mag MPH is BS must get there radar guns recalibrated. My buddy has one his DS went 76.1MPR on the rev limiter my banshee went 77.6. so I think the mag must be really close to being acurate..and if anybody disputes this and wants to see come to 17 and see for yourself..
