Well.....this is it. I might be selling the Mojave. I had a nasty get off which bent my frame pretty good. It also bent the lower right ball joint. But I can say that the control arms are VERY strong. They were not hurt at all.

This is how it happened. In the 4-stroke C class I took off the line, I had a crappy start. In the 4th RUTTED-OUT, WHOOPED-OUT, HIGH-BANKED turn, two guys got locked up in front of me. I was pinned in 3rd gear and turned hard left to avoid them....but didn't make it. My front right tire caught someone's right rear wheel. It sliced my front right Maxxis Razor MX front along the side wall and my Mojave spun violently, sending me flying. I got to looking at the frame at the pits and noticed that the lower frame rails were bent pretty bad. Enough to shift the front end over slightly.

Anyway, I am buying a brand new frame and having it gusseted for strength. I might be selling it. I am restoring it the exact way that Mickey and I did it last fall for the magazine. By the way, I talked to Adam Campbell at Echeconnee and he told me that they haven't used the photos of my Mo yet.

I'll keep the restore updated here when I get it started.

P.S. BUY A PEP STEERING DAMPNER!!! Mine helped out so much during practice friday.

I hope you decide to keep the MO. You have too much time and $$$ in it to get rid of it now. Besides, you can't let someone else have the baddest Mojave out there...

Just one word of advice on reinforcing the frame. I looked on your site, but I couldn't tell if yours was like this. You should weld a tube between the lower-rear control arm mounts on the frame. I have seen several Mo and Lakota frames bent at that location. When I started XC racing, I put this tube in mine. The very next weekend, I hit a tree with the control arm, but the frame was fine.

How did the Pep dampner mount? I'm wondering if it would work on the Lakota frame.

May I ask why you're selling it?

Well.....I was on the line in the C class Saturday and looked to my right and looked to my left and saw only a few 400EXs. The rest was Laeger, Lonestar, or Roll Design YZ426F quads. I cannot compete with that. My full blown 330 Mojave cannot compete with a YZ440 or 440EX built to the hilt. I end up riding the Mojave too hard and getting into some perdicuments I can't get out of.

Tom Pendergast spoke with me Friday during tech inspection about my opinion on having a class for Mojaves, Blasters, Warriors, 300EXs, and 250Xs. I will keep my Mojave if that happens. If not, I am selling it.

I did here a rumor that Kawasaki is coming out with a DRZ400 motored "Mojave". Who knows.

lurch,
I make and sell 3/4" aluminum bolt on cross sapports for the mojave and lakota.
You can put as many on as you want but the back of the lower a-arm is what I made them for.
I seen the post about the 300 class, they are doing a 350cc and below in GNCC this year.
well sorry to hier about the frame, how much for a new one?
