This is a post to inform anyone out there with a Mojave that they can make it look alot more like a true 'Kawie race quad.' Replace the plastic from whatever year you have with the year 2000 plastic! Amazingly, the factory plastic is cheaper than the aftermarket brand! It should be about 100-ish for the Front, 90-ish for the back, and 15-ish for the front headlight mount. The only part of the deal thats outrageously priced is the toolkit lid in year 2000 green. They wanted about $40 for it. I opted to keep my old white one and I'm going to experiment with the idea of painting it black. Oh, and if you were wondering what to do with the blue seat from your Mojave - never fear. Most GOOD auto upholstry places will re-do a seat like that for around $40. I did however get a few quotes up at 60-70. After all that you'll have a year 2000 look alike Mojave.

There are two scenarios I can think of when a person would replace the plastic. The first, if they just want the new stuff. The second, as in my case, the original was broken and the y2k green was just too cool to pass up. Hope you all have fun on your Mojaves!

I hear ya, Kawasaki made a good decision on changing the Mojave colors to the TEAM GREEN colors. It also looks like they've fixed it with better rims. A Mojave with green plastic and something like Maxxis Razrs on douglas rims would be lookin' real nice!

I love the new Mojave, I think that is becoming hte new trend, race color. Yamaha is in full force with that, Suzuki LT80 is now yellow, Honda has always been red, and Kawasaki is geting into it. Whats Polaris' color? I think it should be that red on the Scramblers.

The only thing is...Honda, Yamaha, Suzuki, and Polaris need their race teams. They need to get into it also. The cool thing about having a quad be the racing colors is that it is the same colors that the racers use, and how can you have that pride without a team to look up to? Man...they need to look at Kawasaki like "this whole racing deal is boosting their popularity...maybe we should get into it also--maybe people would want to buy the quads because they look the same as the ones that are out there in the races". That would prove their machines and double the pride of the manufacturers. Anyone have opinions about this?

I herd that Yamaha has a contract with Hawk for him to race a YZ400 engine in GNCC. Sounds cool

I have to agree with Ride... The manufacturers all need races teams so that people can have pride in riding machines made by those companies. And Not just the Japanese companies either. There are pleanty of companies who can and need to jump on this. If they were wise, they'ed both jump on this now AND release the exact same racer model of atv to the public. people would eat that up I'd bet. Our number one company to watch right now is Kawasaki - we'll have to see just what they do with the idea of selling the KXF250 design....

You say they all need race teams to people can take pride in what they ride. uumm.... the KXF-250 doesn't exist and hte Mojave 410 is nothing at all like a Mojave 250 *SPORT QUAD* As for the Paririe, its kool, but I don't know anybody that actually has those mods of their quad. But I do belive the only ATV that Kawasaki has show does great in races is the Paririe.

Blackhawk...sounds like you've been riding your Mojave a lot more lately. Would you consider it a hi-performance quad?
