Phil,
I have a set on my DS, man, they light up the night, i'm real happy with them. I made a bracket that bolts to the handlebar mount so they point where ever I point the wheels that way the stock light shines straight and I have directional control of the lazers. I wired them through a relay to come on with the high beam switch so that I can turn them on and off at any time. They look a little funny during the day but the extra light is well worth it.

JSsDS, do you think that a set would be better than the stock light alone. I thought that the price tag on the stock headlamp was little steep at $100. I thought I could put that into a better lighting system.Whom did you buy your set through. Alba's got a set marketed for the rapter for $150 is that good price?

Phil,
I think that the stock light is important, not only for the extra light but also for looks. Personally I like to replace broken parts to keep the bomb looking good. When you have the stock light and add extra lights it makes it soooo much easier to ride at night.

I got my set from a friend who bought them then sold his quad without ever installing them. No cash exchanged but I do alot for him so I guess you can say I payed with labor.

$150 seems to be a fair price for a set, just be sure they're 40 watts or more. Anything less isn't worth the time installing them. The bombs electrical system will more then handle 80~100 watts of extra lights.
