i own a 2002 warrior and was wondering if the idle is set to high. if i am riding along and let off the gas (in first gear), it will slow down but keep slowly putting along. if the idle is correctly set shouldn't it just die if i am not giving it any gas?

nope! it's fine. If the engine is real loud (high rpm's) when in neutral then it may be set too high but not if you're going in first gear and let off the gas and it slows down but doesn't die.
