Default BMS 110 ATV High Idle

Hello All,
Have a BMS 110 ATV (also says CXY and Leopard on it).

It doesn't seem to want to start on it's own, got to put a sprits of starting fluid in it and it'll start right up. But then it idles really really high.

There are two adjusting screws on the carb, when turned neither one makes a difference.

Any ideas?
Thanks!

Took the carb apart, the pilot jet was completely plugged. Cleaned it out and will be testing it today.

Didn't seem to make much of a difference. It still idles high. I followed the carb adjustment sticky, but turning the screw with the spring on it dies absolutely nothing. If you just let it sit, it just randomly changes rpms. I'm about done without I think. I've got nothing else.

Default High idle

Check throttle cable to see if it too tight or has pulled up at carb hard starting can be from carb slide too far open also check the valve clearances

along with the above check and clean the carb again. Its really easy to miss some of those little passages when they are dirty. I pulled one apart 3 times before i realized i had missed some holes in the jet

So like I said, I cleaned the carb again, I looked at the cable and slide. Don't know what I'm doing there, but it looks ok to me. Put it all back together, and it started right up!

I adjusted the carb, had it idling nice, hit the throttle, got great response and we've back to idle. Did about 5 minutes of laps around the yard and brought it back, as soon as I stopped it died. Tried to start it up, nothing. Hit it with some ether, and it started, and went into a very very high idle. Tried adjusting the carb, took me taking both screws completely out of the carb before the idle came down.

And now it won't start again....

You have some dirt or water in the tank. Once you clean the carb out and get it running right don't fiddle with the adjusters again, if it starts acting up, you have some more dirt/water in the carb.

I just had mine apart and when put throttle slide in it didn't go all the way down so when started it was high revving till I shut her down and made sure slide went all the way down.
