Stay away from Honda! The Honda corp. is only concerned about making a buck off of their customers! They screwed my Dad! He bought a Rancher and has had nothing but problems! It's 2 months old and he's only been able to ride it 20 miles. It's been in the shop three times. We asked for some sort of extended warranty and they wouldn't even consider it! I guess they don't have enough confidence in their product to stand behind it! If you end up with a good one you are lucky. If you end up with a piece of junk you are on your own!!!!! Thanks Honda!

First off, every corporation is interested in making a buck. I'm sure there is more to your story than what you're telling us or you're just trying to start a flame. Nobody can make a 100% problem free product. If your dad talks to the right people and is not in the wrong I'm sure he'll be able to get it fixed. OR I have just been real lucky with the 2 Honda's I've owned.

the Wheeler has 20 miles on it! let me start from the begining. It all started with a oil leak. he brought it in to have the shop look at it. They tightend the oil drain plug and gave it back. It still leaked. he took it back again. They decided that one half of the engine case had been cast wrong. They waited 2 weeks for the parts to come in then slapped it together. I took it ice fishing and it locked up. Major problems. Basically, Most of the parts inside the case need to be replaced. It's been 3.5 weeks since the dealers had it and it still isn't fixed. We've asked the Honda rep to look into extending the warannty (at least a month for the time it's been in the shop) and they won't even think of it. I wanted to slit my wrist after talking to the Honda customer service. I just don't know what to do next? Did I mention that the thing is still in the shop as we speak. Put yourself in our shoes. $5,000 for a used rancher? I don't think so. I'm not saying that they won't fix it. All i'm saying is that there is a major customer satisfaction problem here! 2 ranchers were bought for $10,000. I gues you just have some expectations when you spend $5,000 a peice!

hangbellies,
I can almost guarantee you that if you go in the place out of shape your hangbellies
will be down to the floor when you leave.
If I have a problem I am the happiest person alive when I go in there and usually always get good service and leave the place the happiest person alive again.

my problem isn't with the shop. It's with Hondas response. By the way I have brought it to a different shop then the original. That's another story.

I see where your coming from hangbellie, if I dropped 5 grand only to have the fourwheeler spend more time in the shop than my garage for the first few months I'd be upset to. Everyone should put themselves in hangbellies shoes, would you care if the dealership had to tear your brand new machine apart, tear down the motor, put it back together, only to have it lock-up and have to tear it apart again? I'd be pissed too. Extending your warranty is the least Honda could do to stand behind there product. Anyone know of anyone hangbellie could at least talk too?
Hang in there Hangbellies!

Sounds like you got stuck with a Lemon. It happens. Best thing to do is sell it when you get it back.
