OK, i have a banshee that has ported and polished heads. i just got new wiseco pistons for it and was wondering is i should make the intake holes on them any bigger? if i were to put them in how they are, it would be as if the heads were not ported, am i correct? it looks like the pistons that were in the banshee when i bought were OEM(replacements), but had the intake holes bored a little. what should i do? please help me out..

It's my opinion that the holes in the pistons do not need to be any larger for the average rider/racer. If you are drag racing and are going to inspect and or replace the pistons on a more regular basis then you can improve the intake process in this manor. If you decide to do the modification you should make sure that you round off all surfaces leaving no areas where cracks can start. ( very important ) You may also consider weighing the pistons before the mod and then again after. If you took out 2 grams of material you may want to remove the same amount from the exhaust side of the piston ( across the whole surface not just one spot ) this will also need to be smoothed out with a sanding roll. ( superlites are sounding worth the money at this point I bet ) The pistons are not balanced off the pin so this is not that big of a deal. You should also balance the pistons to be the same gram weight.
