I was just on the Alba site and saw there pipe kit for $440 and it comes with the Pro flow kit and the jet kit???? is this right, that is way cheaper then almost all the other pipes I have found. how does there pipe compare power wise and noise wise to the others like CT and Yosh??? Looks good though, I might have finally found the pipe i want

I have the Alba pipe and I like it very much. All I can compare to is the Dirt Wheels article on the shootout. we all know what a lot of people here think about the shootout so after you read this expect some rebuttals.

Alba pipe: 32.3hp @4000 RPM 46.1hp @7400 RPM 102DB 12.71 lbs
CT Sonic: 32.6hp @4000 RPM 48.6hp @7100 RPM 103DB 11.25 lbs
Yoshi pipe: 29.0hp @4000 RPM 46.2hp @6500 RPM 100DB 9.41 lbs

My pipe and filter setup with jets provides a very explosive low to midrange power increase, very noticable over stock. There is improvment at top speed but much less noticable than low to midrange. Everyone who has commented on the CT and Yoshi pipes are very pleased with them. Alba is the least expensive but their pipes are not stainless etc. The ceramic coating is holding up well and it looks very good on my B/W Raptor. Replacement disks are $59.00 for 12 disks and screws. I will be ordering a set to add disks and experiment. The CT uses 16 disks. Whichever way you go a pipe filter and jets realy brings these babies to life. Enjoy

Does the Alba pipe stick out past the grab bar? I also want one that is well protected! which pipes do or don't stick out too far?

The Alba pipe is just shy of the grab bar. When stood on end the end cap will be just shy of the ground. If there was a rock or a bump in the dirt or whatever it would hit. Adding more disks as I will be doing some day to experiment it will stick out past the grab bar.

What about the CT racing pipe, does it stick out? I am about 100% sure that I am going to get one of those 2 pipes!

The CT owners will have to chime in on that one. I would guess it does not stick out past the grab bar. It would not make since to design it that way. Although if you look at the pictures of their pipe at ctracing.com they appear to have a different grab bar on the rear and it looks as though it would stick out past the stock bar. There is a picture with a stock bar a bit farther down the page but at the angle of the pic its hard to tell if it sticks out or not.
