polrider,
Could you please describe in detail the procedure you used? I have seen other posts on this but not in the manner you are briefly describing.

I have to find a scanner! I have a diagram made up for ya'all. If any one needs more then this Ill work on posting it soon! I spiced into the Hi Beam (yellow) and connected one side of the relay coil and one side normally open set of contacts. the other side of contacts go to Lo Beams (green) I hooked the other side of the relay coil to accessory plug ground (brown) That way when the lights are powered on hi the relay closes powering the low beams too!
List of parts

12V relay botch or Mas
12-female spade connectors
2- good scotch connectors
wire

I just did the light mod yesterday on my SP700 using the diode method that has been posted on this site. All you have to do is go to Radio Shack and get two 3 amp diodes, twist them together, locate the green and yellow wires under the hood and connect them between the yellow and green wires. Make sure the power out side (stripe on diode)is connected to the green wire. Solder all of your connections and now you have all three lights on in the high beam position and just the two in the bumper when on the low beam position. This is a simple mod and takes less than 1/2 hour to accomplish. The three amp diodes cost $1.49 for a pack of two. Thanks to 500DUSE for the original post. Is it possible to do the headlight mod under the headlight pod? I would think that the yellow and green wires would come from the switch?
