I just did the light mod yesterday on my SP700 using the diode method that has been posted on this site. All you have to do is go to Radio Shack and get two 3 amp diodes, twist them together, locate the green and yellow wires under the hood and connect them between the yellow and green wires. Make sure the power out side (stripe on diode)is connected to the green wire. Solder all of your connections and now you have all three lights on in the high beam position and just the two in the bumper when on the low beam position. This is a simple mod and takes less than 1/2 hour to accomplish. The three amp diodes cost $1.49 for a pack of two. Thanks to 500DUSE for the original post.
