Thanks for the help. I ordered a rear rack from the kawi dealer. Took the bike out yesterday for some woods riding. The Lakota really suprised me it was very quick and handled great on the tight trails. The Lakota is alot of fun. I bought the Lakota and a 2003 bayou 250 for the wife thinking that when she got more comfortable riding she could take the lakota and pass the 250 down to the kids. But after riding the Lakota I may not pass it down to her! I did take the mud flaps off and the brace for the flaps, front and rear. Does anybody know if the mojave body plastic will fit on the Lakota? Only had it 2 weeks and already looking for after market parts.

Yah the plastic is the same. If 98 lakota will post the pictures of his he has just put some white plastic on his from a mojave.

If you think it's fun now go to rockymountainatv.com.......get a supertrapp IDS2 pipe, K&N air filter, Dynojet jet kit, and a 13 Tooth counter sprocket (front sprocket) And you will fall in love. $298 wich includes shipping!

I also just bought a 03 bayou 250, I like it alot. I bought it for my wife and kids, but they still ride the lakota quite a bit. Just the lakota's pretty quick now so I have to watch them pretty close. With the bayou it's more thier speed.

That bayou is pretty tough we took it out and put it threw some very tough trails and mud holes, it did very very well

How do the older Lakota racks fit on the new ones? The tab on the frame in front where the grill attaches is not there on the new ones.
