Rubicon 4x4 traction loss???
#1
Had my Rubi since October and this last weekend I was climbing out of the small creek behind my house and had a hard time. Also got stuck in the snow the week before. I seems the back two wheels are spinning and the fronts are doing nothing. Something wrong?
I'm new to 4x4 atv's so this seems odd or is it a problem? Before I bring it to the repair guys any suggestions to test for full time 4x4 or is there a mod I can do to get better 4x4. I live in Ohio so we have lots of clay type mud and it get's slippery, so you really need 4x4.
Thanks for your help.

Your Rubicon is full-time 4WD. Jack up the frt tires off the ground(only the frt. tires), trans. in neutral. If you can EASILY rotate either wheel, something is wrong! This should be alot of resistance to rotating the wheels if the frt. diff. and driveshaft are connected to the rest of the system. If all is OK, you may MAY NOT be able to rotate either frt. wheel at all. Good luck!
