Brush Guard Bumper on SP700
#1
If anyone is tired of waiting for the front tube bumpers for the 700 or like the looks of the brush guard bumper better, the brush guard bumper for the sp500 will install on the 700 with a few modifications. I ran into another 700 owner who had one installed on his. I wish I had been a little more attentive when he was explaining the install but I'll tell you what he said he did to install it. 1-trimmed away a little of the hard plastic, I guess you would call it the splash guard, that is on both sides of the fan housing as your looking under the front of the atv at the radiator fan. 2- Had to drill another hole in the frame that holds the radiator assy. I believe he said that two of the holes on each side already lined up. This was to attach the mounting bracket for the brush guard bumper. I believe that is where he had to trim some of the plastic off the two side guards on the fan assy, so he could drill the other hole. 3- used a couple spacers. Where I don't know. I hope this makes some sense to someone. Before I would buy one, I would go to your dealer and hold a front brush guard bumper up to the front of a 700 and the picture would probably come together. He said the install wasn,t that big a deal and didn't take long to do. Remember! That's what he said. I believe that the style of the brush guard doesn't interfere with the winch install on the 700 either. I hope this helps someone that likes the brush guard bumper better than the tube style. If the front bumpers are not in for the 700 soon, I think I'll give the brush guard a try. A lot more expensive though, 134.99 list, and I don't think you can mount a plow with the brush guard, but I'm not sure. Anyway, it can be done.

the bumpers are out for the sp700,,
got one for the front and one for the back..
they are both tube bumpers..
got them tuesday,,
the front went on fine in 15 minutes..
the back bumper was for sp700 earlier model with the square tubing,,
my sp700 has round tubing,,took it back today and got the right bumper its made for round tubing, dealer said its the same one that fits the sp500..
got the back one on tonight,,took some time with those spacers and the brackets seemed allfull tight...one more thing, the front was made in china, the back one was made in canada,,the made in canada bumper is much heavier duty..
