How many miles per gallon are you getting on your 300ex.It seems like mine runs out very quick,but then again i do alot of riding down my road.

 

When I had my 300ex you could go all day on a tank of fuel or about 5 hours of hard riding.

I am not sure of the numbers, but it aint very good, or it is good and I just run it to hard with to small of a tank.

 

ya dont say what year your 300 is but the 1st things I would check is for a dirty air filter,clean the filter,put a new plug in it and change the oil.All of these will contribute to more fuel useage.So will a improperly adjusted carb or hi float or sticking float level.Mods will suck more fuel to,an engine is nothing more then an air pump the more ya can put in and out of it the more fuel and air it will need the more power it will make,hope this helps.

 

Thanks alot,I'm pretty sure thats exactly what i needed. i do some usual riding everyday about 2 miles all together. Other times i ride it around my house and road and it seems like it sucks more gas then you can believe. It doesnt help that gas here is a 1.43.

 

you think you got it bad ....a couple months ago we were up to 1.80 and in sept- october we were in the high 1.90's

 

If gas goes to 2 bucks and every buddy is gonna drive a puke ugly and slow hybrid Ill be on a motorcycle,still way more fuel econonomy w out all the bs and hype and I can go waaaaaay faster then an hybrid car,165mph or so vs what 75 for the hybrid that cant get out of a mac trucks way let alone its own way and my bike will still get 35-45 mpg on average.

 

1 year ago we had ours at 2.09 it really sucked. thank god i didnt have my quad then or i'd be broke.
