I really love the ds 650 baja but i'm told that I should be at least 5'8" and about 160 pounds and that I should be a man to ride one. I'm not any of these so are there any small people out there with the baja male or female? If so do you have any problems with them because of your size? Help I need to know before I buy!

I am a big guy and love the baja, my wife has ridden and liked it also. I have seen some really small men on Ds's and they seem to do great, I would think a lighter person on a ds would beat most comers in a drag race.

I have also seen some pretty small ladies riding ds's and they seem to do fine.

I would say go for it, it is a very nice bike.

I think the Baja is a good choice for anyone who likes it. But keep in mind if you get stuck, she is heavy! especially for the ladies. I would wait and test ride the new Suzuki Z400.

Yeah the DS is a bit heavy when the back wheels are buried, but if I were unable to get it out myself, I believe that I'd haul a jack with me before I'd own a different quad LOL!

In the open I don't think it would matter much. In the woods you better have some muscle to control it.

My sons are 11 and 12. One weighs 80+ the other 100lbs. They each ride and tear it up on my brothers (Eaglecollector) DS650 as well as my Raptor. He has a steering stabalizer and they both handle it quite well, especialy the 80+ pounder.

My girl doesn't really like my DS. She likes the feel of her EX much better. She tells me my DS is for "Big Butts" Can you believe that!?

We have a few women riders in our group and one owns a DS. Like anyone else that owns one, she wouldn't want to own anything else!

Hello, my girlfriend is 115 lbs., 5'5" and prefers the ds 650 over the honda 400 because she's OK handling the weight of the machine, and the suspension is softer and more forgiving.
