Just kidding (but it got your attention didnt it?)...Finally got my Titan 589 MT's on (25-8's on front, 25-10's on rear)...These tires are NICE...The wheel bead guard is for real, believe me...Lots of extra rubber on the sides of these tires...When I took the wheels off the AC, I noticed that the insides have marks from the 'axles' rubbing the inside of the wheels (didnt VA Chunky Boy mention this?-He said it was from wheel flexing)...The marks are serious (only 50 miles on this AC) so I expect that I'll have holes drilled into my wheels by next year...I'll be back in the mud W/I 5 days, I'll send along a 'trail report' on these tires (like we need ANOTHER tire report)...I am looking for a nice peice of soft (nylon) luggage for the rear rack of my ride...Looking at the ATV Logic line, as well as the Kolpin...Anybody know of others? Let me know!

I assume that you are talking about the marks that the shock mounts are making on the inside of the rim because of stuff getting lodged between the rim and the lower shock mount. This kinda sucks in my mind. Both the 400i and the 500i did it and there is nothing that I can do except stay out of the dirt and mud. (Not an option) I just hope that AC is listening to some of this and fixes it some day. If someone thinks of something, I would like to hear it. Whenever I get out of a mudhole, I hear it grinding away at the inside of the rim. Both of the rear rims have NO paint left on them now. Really the only complaint that I have with the bike since the trade.

OOh, I almost forgot, Congrats on the 589's I have the same thing on mine and I really love them. They can really throw brick like chuncks of dirt if you want them to. Just stay off the grass unless you want to cultivate the yard!

Scoot, the marks I mentioned are from the axles - and they are located on the inside of the wheel, at the center (between the lug holes)...I can visualize the marks you are talking about, from crud build-up inside the wheel-brake-shock mount area...The marks I mentioned are literally 1/2" circles drilled into the 'hub' area of the wheel... I must be stupid, I have been hearing all you guys talk about this problem with the axle and I just cannot visualize what your talking about. Has anyone taken any pic's of this, I don't understand how the axle can rubb the wheel unless the wheel has no hole in the center. Do the new rims on the I's not have a hole in the center? Okay I looked at scootdog's pic's and now under stand where the mark is (no hole in center of wheel), but does the wheel flex or does the axle move, to make this mark. I can't see how such a small span of steel could flex much at all.

RobAlford, My marks are on the inside of the rim all around the rim. It is where the lower shock mounts to the outside A-arm. I have not noticed any marks on the wheel like delta mentioned. the only thing that I could possibly imagine is that the hub is turning on the axle and the hub nut is carving a hole in the wheel. If you could get a pic of it that would help. But if it was the hub spinning on the axle, you should be able to tell quickly. I will try and get a pic of the damage that i have seen on mine and in fact I will take off the rear wheels and take a pic. It will most likely be the weekend by the time I get to take a pic. please be patient. I will post the pic on my page that is acessed from my link in my profile. I will link it to wheel pics. Hope I can help someone.
