honda 200s moter into a 200x frame
#1
I just rebuilt an 84 honda 200s moter, new rings, timeing chain, gears an clutchs..I have heard of people putting this moter in a 200x frame..Has anyone ever done this? If so could you tell me what all I will have to modifie? Can you still use the back breaks off one or the other? I don't have a 200x frame to compare to at the moment, but I was told where one was at for $150..Is this to high of a price for a frame an swingarm ? Will the muffler from the 200s work on the x frame ? Any help would be great..My nephew rides this bike an it's really a rough ride with now back shocks... Thanks again..

I've done this many times but it has been years ago so I'll do my best to remember. The motor bolts right in. Use the 200s wiring. You have the use the 200X exhaust. Use the 200X intake manifold. Since the 200X used the kickstart pivot for the rear brake pedal, you loose that. I think you might be able to use the 200s rear brake pedal. You have the use spacers on the left footpeg to make clearance for the 200s shifter. I think that is all. Was one of the most fun trikes I ever rode.
